There has been an increase in the price of GPUs for a while now. With inflation, lack of competition, and other factors, prices are only going up from gamers looking to get their hands on graphics cards. Now, with the latest rumor surfacing, even more price hikes could be coming for Nvidia GPUs.

The leak comes from IT House, which says that industry experts are saying that Nvidia AIB (add-in board) partners are about to increase prices for their GPUs by around 10%. This impacts the GeForce RTX 40 series, such as the RTX 4070 Super which is going up by around 100 yuan across the board. The RTX 4060 and RTX 3050 could also be seeing a 50 yuan increase. These mainstream models simply don’t have the stock to meet demand.

Nvidia GPUs could get even more expensive due to supply in China

While these aren’t significant rises in price, it’s still extra for these already pricey graphics cards. It’s unknown when the price increases will take place. They might have already occurred, or are set to come a little down the road. Another mystery is how much this affects prices in the US. While right now these rumors only affect China, these slight price increases will likely make their way here, as well.

While these aren’t significant rises in price, it’s still extra for these already pricey graphics cards. Nvidia has dominated the GPU market for years now. With no graphics cards able to rise up to their performance level, Nvidia could seemingly continue to increase prices with little loss. The prices won’t get up by $50 to $100 immediately, but further down the line Nvidia GPUs could continue to get more expensive.

GPUs are already one of the priciest components to get for your gaming PC, and finding the best cheap GPUs can be tough. If Nvidia continues this trend, graphics cards are going to be harder and harder to get a hold of.
